Senior Civil Engineer - Birmingham
Location: Birmingham
Salary: Up to £55,000 + benefits
My client a respected private civil engineering consultancy who are looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join their growing team in Birmingham.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering a wide range of infrastructure, drainage, flood risk, and landform design projects. You'll lead design work, support project delivery from concept to completion, and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver civil engineering designs across drainage, highways, flood risk, and infrastructure projects.
Undertake earthworks analysis, and prepare Flood Risk Assessments and technical reports.
Work with Section 104, 38, and 278 agreements for adoption procedures.
Oversee project delivery and liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders.
Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians.
Contribute to the consultancy's ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 quality and environmental management systems.
Support BIM Level 2 implementation and coordination.
Skills & Experience
Strong experience in drainage and infrastructure design.
Proficient in AutoCAD, PDS, and MicroDrainage.
Good understanding of PPS 25, FEH, and hydraulic modelling (ISIS or similar).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver to deadlines.
Qualifications
Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 3+ years' post-graduation experience in civil engineering design.
Working towards or already achieved Chartered Engineer (CEng) status (ICE or equivalent).
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for site and client meetings.
