Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £41,000 + Benefits (Day Shift)
Shifts: Day Shift initially → Rotating Day/Back Shift from April/May 2026
Callouts: 1 in 6 rotations after probation (Mon 07:00 → following Mon 07:00)

All candidates will work permanent days until April/May 2026, after which a 4-week Days / 4-week Back Shift rotation will begin. No callouts during Back Shift.
Back Shift: Mon-Thu 15:00-23:30, Fri 11:00-16:00 (+26% premium)

The Opportunity

We're looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join the on-site Reliability & Maintenance Engineering team. Working in a fast-paced production environment, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safe, reliable operation of key manufacturing equipment.

What you'll be doing

Your daily responsibilities will include:
* Completing planned preventative maintenance across a variety of production machinery
* Responding to breakdowns and applying safe, effective electrical fault-finding techniques
* Diagnosing root causes and contributing to improvement initiatives
* Providing clear, structured reporting of maintenance findings
* Supporting the wider team with electrical expertise and cross-functional collaboration

Equipment & systems you may work with:
* CNC machinery
* Automation and control systems
* Heat-treatment processes
* Pneumatics and hydraulics
* Pressure systems, compressors, vacuum pumps
* Electrical schematics and drawings
* PLC I/O fault diagnostics

Shift Overview

Day Shift (until April/May 2026):
Mon-Fri | 07:30-16:00

Day/Back Shift Rotation (from mid-2026):
* 4-week Days → 4-week Back Shift
* Back Shift: Mon-Thu 15:00-23:30, Fri 11:00-16:00
* 26% shift premium

Call-out rota begins after probation (1 in 6).

What you'll need to succeed

You'll be a skilled electrical engineer with strong diagnostic capability and a proactive approach to maintenance.

Essential:
* Time-served Electrical Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent experience
* Strong electrical maintenance and fault-finding ability
* Ability to interpret electrical schematics
* Experience using maintenance management systems (e.g., SAP)
* Logical PLC fault-finding capability
* Effective communication and teamwork skills
* Good mechanical appreciation

Desirable:
* Knowledge of RCM and Condition-Based Monitoring
* IPAF and FLT training provided if required
