Location: Cwmbran
Work Hours: Hybrid - 3 days per week onsite (non-negotiable)

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Compliance Engineer to strengthen our verification, validation, and compliance capability.

You'll ensure our devices and systems meet all relevant standards through rigorous physical and virtual testing, while supporting certification activities with third-party agencies and maintaining accurate documentation throughout each project lifecycle.

What you'll be doing

As a Compliance Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
* Delivering verification, validation, and certification work packages to agreed timelines and budgets
* Following departmental processes, engineering reviews, and best-practice standards
* Working closely with R&D on compliance for both new and legacy Fire Alarm products
* Preparing applications and data packs for submission to external test agencies
* Supporting third-party test houses across a range of compliance standards
* Assisting with preparation for, and participation in, audits
* Coordinating pre-compliance test plans with internal and external stakeholders
* Conducting GAP analyses and supporting impact assessments
* Staying informed on emerging engineering practices and relevant British/European standards
* Transporting equipment to test houses, supporting set-up, fault-finding, and debugging
* Travelling up to 10% across Europe (fully covered)
* Undertaking additional tasks as required

What you'll need to succeed

You'll bring technical expertise, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Essential experience includes:

Qualifications:
* HNC/HND or Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
* Experience in test, verification, or compliance engineering

Skills:
* Strong electronic and electrical engineering background
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Effective analytical and problem-solving ability
* Adaptability within a fast-paced environment
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* High competency in compliance documentation
