Our client, a prominent organisation in the highways sector, is seeking a Senior Planning Enforcement Officer to join their dynamic team on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a complex caseload of enforcement cases, conducting investigations into alleged breaches of planning control and taking appropriate enforcement action including the preparation of enforcement reports and notices.
- Support the Head of Development Management and Enforcement and Principal Planning Officers on a range of enforcement cases, ensuring they meet agreed performance targets.
- Respond to public enquiries about the organisation's processes and timelines for considering enforcement cases.
- Provide high-level stakeholder communication, keeping complainants and local councillors updated on case progress and outcomes.
- Contribute to planning enforcement appeals, assisting with the preparation and presentation of the Development Corporation's case in various appeal types, including Written Representations, Hearings, and Inquiries.
Job Requirements:
- Extensive experience in enforcement within the highways sector.
- Ability to manage complex caseloads effectively.
- Strong investigative skills and the ability to prepare detailed enforcement reports and notices.
