Our client, a prominent player in the Defence and Security sector, is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This position plays a crucial role in developing and delivering innovative software solutions to meet critical stakeholder needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support creation and delivery of software solutions within a defined work package area, ensuring that it meets all stakeholder requirements
- Establish and mature stakeholder needs, prioritising and addressing them to solve stakeholders' problems
- Create high quality and robust code, fully documenting and recording work products
- Ensure alignment of architecture with other elements of the programme through close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Contribute to the resolution of emerging issues by proposing solutions, escalating complex risks, and supporting risk mitigation
Job Requirements:
Essential:
- Experience in designing solutions using NI LabVIEW and NI Lab Windows/CVI
Desirable:
- Experience of developing Low Level Drivers
- Developing software for test system environments
- Developing software within a development process framework
- Experience with Agile development and the Atlassian toolset
- Familiarity with configuration management tools, defect tracking, and peer review
