Our client, a leading entity in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join their team on a contract basis in Christchurch and involves hybrid working arrangements, with 2-3 days per week on site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure
- Monitoring network performance and troubleshooting issues to ensure network efficiency and security
- Collaborating with other engineering teams to integrate network systems with defence and security projects
- Producing detailed network documentation and reports
- Ensuring compliance with security protocols and requirements
- Participating in network upgrades and expansions to support organisational growth
- Providing expert guidance and technical support to junior engineers and other team members
Job Requirements:
- Extensive experience in network engineering
- Strong understanding of network protocols, hardware, and software
- Proficiency in network design and implementation
- Experience with security protocols and firewall management
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
