Payroll Advisor - FTC
Location: Warrington
Salary: Up to £35,000 per year depending on experience
We are seeking a highly detail‑oriented Payroll Advisor to join our valued client on a FTC. This role will play a key part in supporting both business‑as‑usual payroll activity and a major payroll system implementation project. Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of a new payroll system, including parallel pay runs, data analysis, identifying discrepancies, improving processes, and contributing to training documentation.
- Process accurate end‑to‑end payroll across multiple contracts, ensuring compliance with National / Pay Agreements, rate changes, and back‑pay requirements.
- Manage all payroll actions related to starters, leavers, adjustments, and perform peer audits to maintain accuracy and quality.
- Produce and review payroll reports, resolve payroll queries promptly, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth communication and deadline adherence.
- Support year‑end activities (Tax Year End, Benefits in Kind, P11Ds), maintain precise records, follow established payroll procedures, and keep up to date with payroll and pension legislation.
Experience Required
- Extensive payroll experience in a fast‑paced environment.
- Previous experience supporting a payroll system implementation or major payroll project is essential.
- Strong analytical skills with confidence reviewing, interpreting, and comparing payroll data.
- Solid knowledge of payroll and pension legislation, and HMRC requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including intermediate Excel skills.
Qualifications
- A recognised CIPP qualification is desirable but not essential.
