Our client, a prominent organisation in the technology sector, is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for a contract position based in Newcastle, UK. This hybrid role requires an experienced professional with SC eligibility to support development initiatives across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab
- Utilising AWS and Azure Cloud services to ensure efficient and scalable infrastructure
- Automating processes with Terraform, Ansible, and Packer
- Deploying and managing OCI containers and Kubernetes
- Leveraging observability tools such as ELK or Dynatrace for monitoring and diagnostics
- Scripting in Linux and Bash to streamline operations
- Mentoring and delivering structured training and coaching to junior team members
- Ensuring the security and compliance of infrastructure
Job Requirements:
- Experience in managing and deploying on AWS and Azure Cloud platforms
- Proficiency with GitLab for CI/CD pipeline management
- Strong skills in Terraform, Ansible, and Packer for automation
- Experience with OCI containers, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Proficiency in Linux and Bash scripting
- Understanding of observability tools such as ELK or Dynatrace
- Strong mentoring and teaching experience
- SC eligibility is required
