Our client, a prominent player in the water sector, is currently seeking a skilled Civil Site Engineer to oversee civil works on wastewater projects in the Aldermaston area. The role involves setting out, managing structures, concrete slabs, pipelines, and ensuring the smooth delivery of non-infra wastewater schemes. This position is essential for projects with a focus on quality, safety, and ensuring regulatory compliance, playing a key part in progressing vital water industry initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting out and supervising civil and structural works on wastewater non-infrastructure projects
  • Ensuring all construction activities adhere to design specifications, QA/QC standards, and permits
  • Managing health and safety through RAMS and ensuring compliance with project safety protocols
  • Completing Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and liaising with designers, sub-contractors, and stakeholders
  • Procurement support and liaison with suppliers and sub-contractors to maintain project timelines
  • Reporting on progress, resolving site issues, and maintaining detailed documentation
  • Assisting with permits, licences, and other regulatory requirements for successful project execution
  • Contributing to the planning and coordination of activities to ensure timely completion

Job Requirements:

  • Significant experience in civils infrastructure, preferably within water or wastewater projects
  • Proven setting out experience, with a strong understanding of structural and pipeline installations
  • Knowledge of QA/QC procedures, permits, RAMS, and ITPs
  • Valid SMSTS, FTW passports, and experience in completing site paperwork
  • Solid experience liaising with subcontractors, designers, and procurement teams
  • Minimum of five years overall experience in civil engineering roles
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to project requirements
