Our client is currently seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves working on cross-sector projects, providing vital geotechnical expertise to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting site investigations and data collection for ground conditions assessment
- Managing drilling operations, including rotary rigs and slope climbing rigs
- Implementing geotechnical solutions and providing technical support
- Ensuring compliance with engineering standards and regulations
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Preparing and presenting detailed technical reports
- Coordinating risk assessments and mitigation strategies
- Overseeing packer testing and other geotechnical procedures
Job Requirements:
- Extensive experience in geotechnical engineering
- Proficiency in site investigations and data interpretation
- Familiarity with rotary drilling operations and packer testing
- Strong problem-solving skills and detail-oriented approach
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively within a team or independently
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
