Our client, operating within the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves working on the specification, development, integration, testing, and certification of various EW Sensor products for export customers, utilising systems engineering knowledge and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Updating and managing the requirements and acceptance evidence for system variants
  • Supporting system integration, verification, and validation activities to test compliance with the requirements and gather appropriate evidence for certification
  • Developing and implementing engineering change requests to support the delivery of new system variants
  • Developing and delivering engineering specifications, reports, and presentations

Job Requirements:

  • Solid foundation in a relevant technical domain
  • High proficiency in requirements generation and management using IBM DOORS
  • Good understanding of formal testing to gather certification evidence
  • Experience in managing engineering change requests from creation to verification
  • Understanding of design compliance and acceptance criteria to achieve system certification
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles across the development lifecycle
  • Self-motivated with problem-solving aptitude, excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to obtain SC Clearance for UK-caveated programmes
