Job Title: Learning & Development Advisor
Location: Barrow‑in‑Furness, Cumbria (2-3 days onsite per week)
Contract: 12‑month Contract (Inside IR35)
Rates: £47.86 ph Umbrella* | £35.55 ph PAYE
*Umbrella rate quoted is the gross rate paid to the umbrella company (inclusive of employment costs). Actual take‑home will be lower. Get in touch for a breakdown across Umbrella, PAYE or Deemed options.
Note that this role is UK Eyes Only role requires sole British nationality, at least five years of UK residency, and the eligibility to obtain SC and BPSS clearances without visa sponsorship.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Learning & Development Advisor specialising in Knowledge Transfer, you'll support business‑facing People Advisors and People Partners by sharing specialist knowledge, advising on best practice and helping embed improvements across the business.
You'll contribute to projects, process updates and capability development initiatives, using external benchmarking and specialist insight to enhance how the organisation manages and transfers knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Support People Advisors and People Partners by sharing specialist subject expertise
- Contribute to learning, knowledge‑sharing and capability‑building initiatives across the business
- Integrate specialist knowledge into process improvements and project delivery
- Benchmark external best practice and bring insights into areas such as L&D, ER, SWP, Talent, Performance, D&I and Reward
- Support the development and implementation of systems or platforms relating to knowledge transfer
- Provide coaching guidance to stakeholders
- Ensure consistency and quality of knowledge‑based practices across business areas
What You'll Need to Succeed
Essential:
- Strong Learning & Development background
- Experience or understanding of knowledge transfer methodologies
- Coaching skills and confidence working with stakeholders
- Experience with AI‑enabled learning systems or digital platforms (desirable)
- Ability to bring external best practice and benchmarking into internal processes
